PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR COACHING IN TERRAIN PARKS
No organization in the world has been coaching snowboarding longer than High Cascade Snowboard Camp (1989) so we aimed to create an innovative series of terrain park focused clinics that build upon traditional certifications you may already have. The 101-300 series Terrain Park Training System (TPTS) courses will help you distinguish yourself as a leader in the world of snowsports education by through providing you with practical and effective coaching tools that you can hone and perfect with the personal attention from our multi-Olympic medal coaches and TPTS chief instructors Mike Hanley and Elijah Teter.
Massive capital projects and million-dollar terrain park builds are NOT needed. Our TPTS clinics will help you better utilize the tools available to you today, both on and off-snow including but not limited to:
transitional features (flow parks, cross course, halfpipes)
jumps,
jibs and boxes,
off-snow movement skills
trampoline & skateboard utilization

FEATURES:
Olympic Medal Coaches - Developed and taught by multi-Olympic medal coaches who apply world-class concepts to the local resort environment and the complete ability range from beginner through professional;
Recognized - will count towards continuing education credits by U.S. Ski and Snowboard (pending final approval) and Ski and Snowboard Australia (pending final approval);
Video Trick Library - access included (on-snow & trampoline): you’ll never be alone the first time you coach a trick. Set-up turns through 1620’s;
365 Support - need advice or a sounding board throughout the year? Mike and Elijah will be there for you by phone & email (included in any TPTS clinic).
Authentication - Customer trust is essential so, upon completion, your customers will be able to authenticate that you are have been personally taught by our instructors and have successfully met all the requirements of High Cascade’s Terrain Park Training System.
Meet the Coaches:
Mike Hanley
Going back to 1994 Mike has been a figure in the world of freestyle skiing, as an aerialist, turned stuntman & NCAA diver followed by a professional career as a park skier turned coach. In addition to studying 6 languages in 5 countries, Mike has coached athletes from 9 different countries to World Cup tour & X Games podiums going back to 2003 in halfpipe, slopestyle & big air. Most recently at the Winter Olympics in 2014 where he coached medallists in ski slopestyle for the United States & 2018 where he coached the New Zealand Olympic team earning their first Olympic medals in 27 years in ski halfpipe & snowboard big air. The coaches development program established over the course of his career has also produced coaches who have gone on to coach X Games & Olympic medallists themselves.

Elijah Teter
Over the past 30 years, Elijah Teter has done it all in snowboarding and has done so with excellence. Formerly a professional snowboarder and member of the US Snowboard team, Elijah went on to be a highly successful Olympic coach, helping to secure three gold and two silver medals while working with athletes such as Ayumu Hirano, Kaitlyn Farrington, Louie Vito, Hannah Teter, and Kazu Kokubo.
