TPTS 101 - Introduction to Performance in Terrain Parks

Clinic Fees: $500 USD

Prerequisites: Level 1 accreditation from an ISIA Member National Association, USASA or USSA in addition to a current CPR/First Aid certification

Course Description: The three day long general course exists to increase the level of performance coaching in the terrain park features of jumps, jibs & the transitional features of halfpipe & cross courses. This introductory course is aimed at coaches & instructors who are looking to acquire the practical teaching tools to safely assist aspiring skiers & snowboarders to progress more efficiently in the freestyle environment. The goal of this course is for the participants to increase confidence in their coaching techniques to implement a plan that is specific, measurable, achievable, realistic & timely. Participants will also gain access to the encyclopedic knowledge & first-hand Olympic experience that has already produced Olympic medals for four different nations.

    • On Snow Terrain Park Features Training

    • Proof of Progression w/ Proper Video Review

    • Reflection & Next Steps in Your Journey

TPTS 110 - Introduction to Performance in Terrain Parks

Dates: November 23-26, 2019

Location: HCSC Campus (formerly Windells campus)

Clinic Fees: $500

Optional Room & Board: $100

Prerequisites: Level 1 accreditation from an ISIA Member National Association, USASA or USSA in addition to a current CPR/First Aid certification

Course Description: The same coursework as TPTS 101 but hosted on the vast High Cascade’s vast 28-acre campus at the base of Mt. Hood, Oregon.

On our campus, participants will gain first hand experience with the most state of the art tools for progression:

  • Equipment Demo Room,

  • Dryslope (Jib Line & Cross Transition)

  • Air bags (x2),

  • Trampolines (Super & Fly)

  • Classrooms,

  • Skateboarding (thousand of square meters of indoor & outdoor skate parks)

ALL TPTS COURES FEATURE:

  • Olympic Medal Coaches - Developed and taught by multi-Olympic medal coaches, Mike Hanley & Elijah Teter, who apply world-class concepts to the local resort environment and the complete ability range from beginner through professional;

  • Recognized - will count towards continuing education credits by U.S. Ski and Snowboard (pending final approval) and Ski and Snowboard Australia (pending final approval);

  • Video Trick Library - year round video library access included (on-snow & trampoline): you’ll never be alone the first time you coach a trick. Set-up turns through 1620’s;

  • 365 Support - need advice or a sounding board throughout the year? Mike and Elijah will be there for you by phone & email (included in any TPTS clinic).
