You'll spend the week riding some of the country's most iconic resorts with legends like Blaise Rosenthal and local hosts. This isn’t your average snowboard trip -- we're adding a lot of Kiwi adventure.

We’ll be staying in shared modern houses at the base of the beautiful Cardrona Valley, just a short walk from the iconic Cardrona Hotel. You’ll have your own room and plenty of chances to kick back or chill with new friends and this amazing community.

What's the Experience Like?

• Shred Culture, Elevated: Ride with local snowboarders and experience the real Kiwi community.

• Après, the Kiwi Way: Whether it’s trampolines in Wanaka, cruising through Gibbston Valley Wineries by e-bike and sipping on local wine, dining with a view atop the Skyline Queenstown Gondola, or soaking in a mountain-view hot pool, après is part of the experience.

• Stay Like a Local: Sleep in beautiful modern 3-bedroom houses with your own private room and shared living space to vibe with your snow fam.

• Adventure Add-On Options: Craving more adrenaline? Add heliboarding or take the plunge with a bungy jump for the bold. Payment to be made directly to operator.

• Depart USA: Friday, September 5

• Arrive Queenstown, NZ: Sunday, September 7 (must arrive before 4:00 PM local time)

• Return to USA: Sunday, September 14

Snow Conditions

In September, the South Island’s mountains serve up classic spring conditions - it's common to experience mornings with fast groomers that soften to buttery slush by afternoon. However, a surprise cold front might drop some fresh snow to keep the stoke alive.

Are You Ready? Ability Level

Able to ride intermediate runs (blue squares). You don’t have to go BIG to join in the fun or be adept going switch or have ever jibbed something. Let’s ride, explore, connect -- and make this the trip you’ll talk about forever.

Do I Need Travel Insurance?

Yes, comprehensive travel insurance is required for all guests joining the tour. Once your registration is confirmed, we highly recommend securing your travel insurance as soon as possible.

May I Bring a Partner or Spouse Who Doesn’t Ski or Ride?

We kindly ask that you discuss this with us prior to registering.

What if I Have Dietary Restrictions?

If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate them

What is a “Host”? I thought HCSC had “Coaches”?

Our Gatherings feature Hosts who are accomplished snowboarders with extensive knowledge and will get the whole crew pumped to ride! While these Hosts may also be able to help you with your riding technique, Gatherings like this do not serve to replace formal instruction. If you seek that formal instruction and want a world-famous HCSC coach, then come ride with us this summer at Mt. Hood!

If you’d like to arrive a bit early or hang around after the trip, it’s totally up to you - we’re more than happy to provide some help! We can point you toward the best local spots, fun things to do, and maybe even introduce you to a friendly face or two along the way.

Note on Weather + Flexibility

We ride with the rhythm of the snow! The order and timing of activities may switch around to make sure you get the best experience possible. Once you're in NZ, we may need to shake things up based on weather/snowfall, local happenings, or other fun factors. But don’t worry—we’ll keep you in the loop with any changes as the tour unfolds!
